A list of things which will help you survive and even enjoy lockdown.
It is not news that 2020 plans have been turned upside down, scrunched up and thrown out of the window because of the lockdown. Although the majority of our plans to revel and enjoy ourselves this year are not going ahead – it does not mean we have to give up on enjoyment.
We have collated a list of fun and free stuff you can do to help pass time, survive and enjoy the current 2020 lockdown. Virtual pub quiz
1. Virtual pub quiz
Just because lockdown means you can’t visit the pub and have a go at winning the all famous Friday Night Quiz at your local, doesn’t mean you have to let your expertise go to waste.
Using free video communication platforms such as Zoom, you can easily create meetings and invite all your friends and family to the virtual pub quiz. Its great fun, a nice distraction from the outside world and a great way to stay in contact with friends and family, it is also a great excuse to have a few beers.
Organise teams amongst yourselves and choose a day of the week which suits you all. A team will volunteer to make the questions for the first quiz, reading the questions out, checking teams answers and announcing the winners at the end. Oh, and the winners will have to make the questions and host the quiz for the following week’s quiz!
2. Karaoke night
As much as we all say we don’t like an audience or don’t want to embarrass ourselves when it comes to karaoke all our fears disappear. There is nothing like the moment of having your friends cheer you on, sing along with you, while you try and decipher song lyrics of a TV from the ’80s, partially sighted after a few pints. Unfortunately, the lockdown has made our karaoke nights seem like an unreachable memory.
However, I have good news for you, AirConsole is an app which lets you virtually meet up with all your friends from your home, and have a great sing-along together. You use your phone as a mic and connect your app to your TV, reeling off the song lyrics.
